Founder, owner and active managing director, Mr. Kurdian brings over 38 years of experience in meetings, incentives and conference travel to the company. He received the incentive industry designation as a Certified Incentive Travel Executive (CITE) from the Society of Incentive and Travel Executives in 1978.

Jeffrey Burto
Senior Vice President - Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Burto joined Sunbound in 1995 following an extensive background in hotel general management, operations, and accounting.

Carolyn Chesnut
Senior Vice President - Partner Relations

Ms. Chesnut purchased worldwide incentive and meeting services and was a longtime customer of Sunbound for a number of years prior to joining our staff in 1994.

John "JC" Costello
Vice President - Operations

Mr. Costello heads up Sunbound's entire ground operations including transportation, staff, activities, communications, and special events such as Sunbound's unique Team Building programs. He has been a part of Sunbound since 1996.

Ray Vlacich
Vice President - Sales & Marketing

As Vice President of Sales for Sunbound, Ray brings professional Sales Management and coordination to Sunbound’s very creative and exciting sales force, located both in our Florida headquarters and in The Bahamas.  As in his past positions at Sunbound, having been interim director of several departments, such as Realization, Marketing Services, and Marketing Communications, Ray’s knowledge of our clients and our hotel partnerships coupled with his professional skills in marketing have made him very well suited to lead the Sales Team with coordination, professional follow-up, and both internal and external communications.

Jessica Schrag
Director - Theme & Realization

Jessica brings years of theatrical, special event, and décor expertise to her position as Sunbound’s Director of Realization. From catering, entertainment, design, and site management, to budgeting, tenting, lighting, and sound, she has done it all and done it with aplomb.

Javier Oberti
Director - Destination Services and Development

From a long and successful background in the planning, development and purchasing of shore excursion for such companies at Norwegian Cruise Lines and Renaissance Cruise Lines, Mr. Oberti joined Sunbound to develop new and innovative excursions and tours throughout the Company’s operating areas.  He has been key to Sunbound’s successful expansion to Grand Bahama Island and will be as new operating locations and new “Green-Tourism” excursions and participatory and experiential activities come on line.

David Vargo
Director - Marketing Communications & Creative Media

David provides exceptional graphics and audio/visual communications – ensuring that Sunbound’s services reach their targeted market base. He manages the entire hard copy and digital creative process using internal and external resources through design, copywriting, production, color proofing, printing and inventory management. He is responsible for all company branding, alliance marketing collateral, and advertising for special projects.

A graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Amanda works directly with Sales and Theme and Realization and is instrumental in maintaining the strong relationship we have developed with our vendors in Florida and The Bahamas. Sunbound sales and operation-planning teams work closely together on each program.  As our client, the sales team will introduce you to Amanda as her role will be to work with you and finalize all program logistics prior to your arrival on island.  

Andrew Hairston
Manager – Field Operations

Mr. Hairston's responsibilities include producing Sunbound’s major events including international concerts and other events. He continues to design and operate our customized Team Building events and activities, for which the company has great recognition.

Andrew Hoffman
Sales Manager

With special responsibility for Grand Bahama Island, Mr. Hoffman moved into the Sales Department from his former position as an Operations Coordinator, giving him a great perspective that serves his clients well.

Aja Peters
Sales Manager

As a sales manager within the Sunbound team, Ms. Peters’ role is to collaborate with our clients and nurture those relationships to ensure goals are successfully met. Recently moving to South Florida after seven years working and living in Manhattan, the native Floridian brings with her a strong background in marketing, advertising and event planning. We are very happy to have her on board.

Cheryl Wright
Administrative Assistant and Reception

When calling or visiting Sunbound, it's Cheryl's cheerful voice and smiling face you will, most likely, hear or see first. In addition to being a master of our communcations switchboard, she also provides administrative support to department managers and directors as needed, including general clerical, and project based work.

Barry Malcom
Vice President

Coming from his extensive professional experience as Executive Vice President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority and executive positions in other international companies, Mr. Malcolm is a vice-president and director of Sunbound and Sunbound-International, as well as an partner in Sunbound-Bahamas, our operating arm in the Bahamas. He represents Sunbound throughout The Bahamas and assures full compliance with the laws and the most professional business standards as well as leading the planning of our business expansion programs.

Camille Hanna
General Manager

Camille was one of the very first operations staff when Sunbound first began operations in 1990. An experienced professional and a member of the Sunbound team since 1996, Camille is part of the Senior Management Team whose responsibilities cover all DMC or ground operations throughout The Bahamas.

Lloyd “Chubby” Grant
Operations Manager for Grand Bahama Island

A 22yrs. veteran in the Transportation Industry, a tour and activity writer and a former Teacher, Chubby joined Sunbound’s team of professionals in the area of Transportation and Tours in 2003 and has served as Operations Manager for the Island of Grand Bahama since 2006.

Ray-Don Poiter
Airport Manager

The first Sunbound person your guests usually see on arrival in Nassau, Mr. Poiter is the personification of a true Bahamian Welcome; a sincere greeting to “our Island”. His competency, cordiality and knowledge of airline and airport inner workings make him one of the most valuable of our colleagues, making the “airport experience” a positive rather than a negative memory

Lewis Carroll
Theme & Realization Manager

Realization Manager – The Bahamas Mr. Carroll was one of the Company’s first associates, being virtually the sole Realization person in Grand Bahama for many years. Due to his skills, management acumen and expertise, he has grown to manage the entirety of Realization services throughout the Islands of The Bahamas.

Operations Administrator - Grand Bahama Island

Assembling all of the details, including the integration of client changes just before and during operations, Ms. Evans is another Sunbound Shining Star, reaching out to take on more and more operations tasks every day.

Sundae Cooper
Field Operations Manager

Critical to the success of any client program are the skills and experience of our Program Managers and Ms. Cooper typifies the very best of those qualities!  Her ability to weave greeters, skycaps, bus drivers and hotel bellmen into one smooth and seamless operating team, “transitioning” them from their flights to their rooms, makes her and her Program Manager colleagues Sunbound’s most valuable assets.

Doralyn "Dora" Woodside
Senior Program Manager

Ms. Woodside is definitely one of Sunbound’s “Shining Stars”.  She’s the first impression at the airport and usually the last one as guests leave; and that impression is a great one, much complimented by planners and attendees alike.
